RICK THOMPSON, D.C.S.

Rick Thompson began shooting in High Definition in early 1999. Prior to HD, Rick and partner, Joyce Thompson, produced work on film for commercial and corporate clients, and documentary programming. They owned Arriflex 35mm and 16mm camera packages.

Their current HD system is the Sony F-900/3 and is equipped with a full studio package, multiple HD monitors and lenses, an investment comparable to a high end 35mm camera system.

Thompson has trained with Sony’s top High Def guru from the beginning when HD first came into our market place. He estimates around 250 HD projects in the last 7 years. He is testing new looks monthly and pushing the technology to and sometimes beyond what it supposedly is capable of.
